How to Reach Albergo Marin:

How to reach us

Hotel Marin lies in a straegic position, thanks to it’s possible for you to reach it very easily from any access point. Please read carefully instructions we provide to know how to come according from your transportation way.

By car
From Piazzale Roma, where guests can leave their cars, the hotel can be reached by feet only, walking for 3 minutes along the grand canal, turning on the right after the church of San Simeon Piccolo, then followoing the street (it makes a sort of U)

By airplane
From Venice Marco Polo airport, you can choose to take a water taxi leading you directly to the hotel in about 30 minutes (the cost is around €110,00/120,00) or the public bus line 5 (every 30 minutes) leading you to Piazzale Roma. Then follow the indications mentioned above. Alternatively, there’s ALILAGUNA waterbus (15.00 euro per person) which leads you up to Guglie Bridge: from there, you can come either by feet, up to ferrovia, crossing Scalzi Bridge and turning left before the church, or by waterbus, line 4.1, up to piazzale roma, then by feet following above indications (by car section)

By train
Once you reach Santa Lucia Venice trainstation, which is the last one, please exit the trainstation and breath your first Venecian magic air. After you will have enjoyed this impressive sensation, turn  and cross the bridge you find on your right, which is known as “Ponte degli Scalzi”. After the bridge, turn right, go on for 20 meters, then turn left before the church, follow the street making a “U”, then look at our 4 tables which lie outside: your home in Venice is here!

You can also look at the map below or click over the map in the home page. It’s easy to find us both from the railstation and from Piazzale Roma, also by walk.

Map Albergo Marin - Location

The Albergo Marin is located in the historic center of Venice. Although in a quiet, noncommercial neighborhood, it is less than a five minute walk from the Venetian train station of Santa Lucia and equally convenient to the parking garages and bus terminals at Piazzale Roma, permitting easy bus and taxi access to the Venetian airport of Marco Polo as well as that of Treviso. Moreover, the Albergo Marin is just 30 meters from the Grand Canal, the most important channel of Venice, and no more than 2 minutes walk from the new famous modern bridge built from arch. Calatrava and named “Ponte di Calatrava” (or Ponte della Costituzione): a touch of modern in such an historical and ancient city!

Where to park?

As you certainly know, Venice is a unique city, probably the biggest in dimension all around the world, where car cannot circulate. So a frequent question is: where can I leave my car? Well, the best option to enjoy the town is leaving your car in Garage Comunale in Piazzale Roma (26.00€ per day). We have a small agreement with Garage San Marco, which grants you a 10%-20% reduction (according to seasonality) , but price of this parking rised up in 2021 to 39.00€ per day, unfortunately.   Alternatively, it is possible to drop your card in Tronchetto (21.00€ per day), and from there get “people mover” monorail (1.50€ per person) and reach Piazzale Roma in 3/4 minutes. Other, cheaper options, are in Marghera or Mestre, from where you have to get a bus or a train to reach Venice.
